You know that a few minutes in a Cincinnati Park can instantly boost your mood. But did you know that spending time in one of Cincinnati's parks is just what the doctor ordered? Thanks to an emerging collaboration with the Cincinnati Parks Foundation, Cincinnati Parks and the Osher Center for Integrative Health at the University of Cincinnati, a trip to the park may be a part of your next prescription for wellness, a first-ever partnership between an academic hospital and a nationally ranked park system, named Cincinnati Parks for Wellness. Kolar Design is creating the backdrop at the Schmidlapp Event Lawn at Smale Riverfront Park in partnership with Moerlein Lager House, Warm Construction, Clear Sound Design and Graphic Village. The installation will highlight the healing nature of Cincinnati Parks and will include free, day time classes including yoga, tai chi, movement and drumming, thanks to the Osher Center, followed by dancing and disco at night, with Heroes Rise and DJ Vader.
