Metro's service is 100% ADA-accessible to ensure that elderly riders and those with disabilities have an enjoyable and comfortable experience using our service. All Metro buses include a wheelchair lift or ramp and two securement areas for wheelchairs and mobility devices, and an automatic voice system that announces key stops, transfer points and other important information. Additionally, accessible-format materials, like bus schedules, are available upon request.
All TANK buses are accessible to individuals with disabilities including passengers using wheelchairs or other mobility devices. TANK’s buses are equipped with either “ramps” or “lifts” for wheelchair boarding and “kneeling devices” for general boarding. Ambulatory passengers can also request use of the ramp, lift or kneeling device to make boarding easier. Ample time will be provided to passengers with disabilities to board and disembark in a safe manner. TANK announces all transfer points, major intersections, destination points and other intervals along a route to permit individuals with visual impairments or other disabilities to be oriented to their location. These announcements may be made electronically or be made by the bus operator over the PA system.
Each night of BLINK®, a limited number of accessible parking spots will be available at the 5th and Plum surface lot located at 250 W. 5th St. Cincinnati, Ohio 45202. Patrons will need to display their accessible tag in their vehicle if they choose to utilize this parking option.
Within the BLINK footprint, many roads will be closed, alleviating congested sidewalks, and allowing for easier travel.
