Cincinnati-based apparel and textile designer, Caitlin McCall, has been exploring circular design for the past decade. An initial quest to use 100% natural fibers evolved into a passion for up-cycling and reassessing the perceived value of waste. McCall has shown collections at Omaha Fashion Week, Wuhan International Fashion Week, and the Planet Runway Show at Johns Hopkins. In 2018 her closed-loop recyclable fast fashion proposal was a semifinal selection for the H&M Global Change Awards. McCall continues to incorporate new skills and media into her projects and enjoys interdisciplinary collaborations.
