About

The Adventurer is a 501c that makes interactive, performances, and museum quality exhibits. Our mission is to create large, kinetic art projects that focus on teaching the public issues that face our modern life such as animal extinction, local issues of poverty, mechanics of physics, and creating and sharing art. Most recently, members of the Adventurer participated in the 2022 BLINK parade in three different ways. First, in the months leading up to the parade, they hosted over 30 parade participants in workshops on how to build and light pieces for the parade. Second, they created the memorable and admired Fantastic Forest featuring a glow in the dark, walking tree as the centerpiece, with wild creatures of the forest, including a 12-foot racing snail and a transparent, glow in the dark mushroom that housed the Forest band. Finally, they worked with the Maker Club at John P. Parker elementary school to make the flying rainbow lion, complete with moving wings and a light up tail. Children from the school got to design their own fantasy costume and walk along with the lion during the parade.
