Javarri Lewis is a self-taught artist who lives and works in Cincinnati, Ohio. In his practice since 2015, Javarri has specialized in creating portraits and projects that express authentic human emotion through the use of bold colors, real people, and moments in time. As a native of Cincinnati, Javarri began his artistic journey by painting images with acrylic and latex paint. This exploration has led him to delve into other mediums such as graphic design, mural projects, multi- media projects, and ceramics. These projects strive to pay homage to his local community and society at large, fostering relationships with fellow artists, business owners, and community leaders throughout Cincinnati and around the world.
