Garcia likes to think of his work as a reflection of his background and the community he lives in. He often references symbols and shapes from the southwestern part of the country, as well as the textiles and patterns from this region. Garcia has experience in painting very large city-built structures as well as smaller murals of every size. He tries to include the neighbors during the execution of these projects by allowing them to help paint or host a community event during the process. It is important to him that the people who live near his pieces can have a sense of ownership with these murals. Garcia creates works that express movement and energy through colors.
