Dennis Nolda

Dennis Nolda is a German light artist from the city of Essen, who has been fascinated by lighting technology since he received his first effect spotlights at the age of seven. His roots lie in professional event technology- and management with almost 20 years of experience. During this time he designed several stage setups and programmed many light shows, but also planned numerous events of all kinds in the whole. Moving into a leading position in his company, Nolda found the way to live out his passion in light art. Since almost ten years, he programmed numerous light installations for other artists and designed his own pieces for several festivals. He prefers to use the existing architecture and infrastructure of a city, highlight the given characteristics or he puts these places into a completely new light. Almost every of Nolda's light shows is programmed in sync with specially composed music.
