Christine Langford

About

Christine Langford is an artist, teacher, designer, and Shadow Puppeteer. She has taught and performed at various national festivals and school programs. She has a BS in Fashion Design from the University of Cincinnati, DAAP and an MA in Art Education from Mount St. Joseph University. Christine currently writes for Shadow Theater and works as an educator in the Cincinnati area. Driven by a quest to marry art with education, she continues to explore the limits of shadow and light through a myriad of techniques. I began making art to better understand the currents that flow through my life. Colors and shapes merge into symbols; then join with movement to tell a story. The images confirm a realm that flows just beyond the tangible. A purely intuitive approach to drawing and painting is now applied to the creation of 3D lighting effects and storytelling with Shadow Puppetry.
