Black Art Speaks aims to empower and uplift the Black community through the transformative power of art and poetry. By creating culturally resonant murals and providing a platform for Black voices to be heard through poetry, we seek to foster community engagement, cultural expression, and social change. Our goal is to inspire unity, dialogue, and understanding both within the Black community and beyond, making art accessible and impactful for all.

Black Art Speaks was formed to address the need for greater representation, visibility, and expression of Black culture and experiences through public art. This initiative emerged from a recognition of the power of art to catalyze community dialogue, celebrate cultural heritage, and challenge societal norms. It was founded on the belief that art and poetry are vital tools for advocacy and education, capable of healing and strengthening communities. By integrating visual art with poetic expression, Black Art Speaks aims to create a lasting impact on both local communities and broader societal perceptions, promoting a message of empowerment, resilience, and hope.
