Some people talk. Some people share images. Bill Thomas creates graphic signs. Thomas is a retired 30+ year Cincinnati Public Schools art teacher. Bill's public art focus throughout the years has been tied to visual language, mass communications and an interest in inviting large audiences to reflect and react to common messages inserted into the public domain. It all started with an anti-war demonstration sign that landed on a prominent newspaper's front page. It stated, "Communication is the beginning of understanding." From protest signs in the 60s to iconic signage at Cincinnati favorite's favorite sporting games, large events and now BLINK, Thomas continues to invite reflection, action, and a hope for a more united tomorrow.
