Betty Mü grew up in Munich, Germany. In 1995 she moved to New York where she worked as an art director and took courses at New York University and the School of Visual Arts. She experimented with Super 8 and later started with video and live visuals. After 6 years she returned to Munich where she expanded her experience as a live visualist and started video installations. Today, Betty Mü is considered one of the most sought-after German media artists in the field of video art and live visualization and is known far beyond the borders of her country. Combining an imaginative, poetic style with clear installation concepts, she has worked for renowned clients such as BMW, SAP and Absolut Vodka, as well as for art projects in Germany, Italy, the USA and Mexico.
