About

Willehad Eilers is a German artist also known under the pseudonym Wayne Horse, whose practice spans painting, drawing, video, and installation. Emerging from the German graffiti scene and later graduating from the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam, he continues to live and work in the Netherlands. His work is characterized by a raw, expressive visual language infused with humor and lyrical distortion, often exploring the bizarre, uncomfortable, and compelling aspects of contemporary human behavior. Through a practice that blends ethnographic observation with surreal reinterpretation, Eilers examines cultural and social norms, transforming everyday scenes into unsettling, poetic reflections on the modern condition.
