At Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, the Immersive & Reactive Media Lab (MUXR) brings together students of design, animation, and creative technology to produce professional-scale media experiences. Operating within the Emerging Technology in Business & Design (ETBD) program, the lab functions as both classroom and production studio, where students gain hands-on experience in projection mapping, motion design, lighting integration, and real-time media systems. Each year, advanced students in the IMS 440 course sequence collaborate with entertainment industry partners, working in professional pipelines alongside studios such as Silent Partners Studio, XR Studios, Cour Design, and 4Wall Entertainment, and building pathways toward careers at leading companies in the field.
