About
Medianeras is an artistic duo formed by architect Vanesa Galdeano (Argentina–Spain) and visual artist Analí Chanquía (Argentina), who have collaborated for more than fourteen years on large-scale public art projects. Their practice is rooted in the concept of “medianeras,” or side walls, which they reinterpret as spaces that connect rather than divide, using murals to foster connection, belonging, and collective identity within urban environments. Through color, geometry, and architectural sensitivity, they transform city walls into reflective surfaces that engage in dialogue with their social and spatial context. Working internationally across more than 20 countries, their large-format murals merge precision and human scale, turning public space into a site for visual rhythm, interaction, and shared experience.
