About

Forealism is a father-and-son creative duo consisting of Lawrence and Thomas Malott, working across DJing, costume design, performance art, music, and visual installations. Their multidisciplinary practice blends sound, movement, and handmade, often recycled materials to create immersive, otherworldly experiences centered on audience engagement and personal expression. A defining element of their work is the integration of light through reflective, illuminated costumes and their signature DJ installation, the “Light Ship,” which extends their performative process into a shared space with audiences. Since forming in 2012, they have performed internationally at venues and festivals including the Cincinnati Art Museum, Riverfest, Art Basel Miami, and LIV Miami, while continually evolving their practice between music production and live performance.
