About

This artist’s work is formally inspired by the aesthetics of early video games, 1980s and 1990s cartoons, and cinema, with a focus on color, background art, and narrative-driven visual storytelling. They have developed a personal visual language called “Candy Pop Sci-Fi Abstraction,” using it as a framework for worldbuilding through vibrant color combinations, sharp geometric forms, and layered compositions. Their work spans painting, object-based surfaces, and immersive installations that aim to activate space, reimagine overlooked environments, and create playful, energetic visual experiences for the public. Raised in the Pacific Northwest and currently based in Cincinnati’s Camp Washington neighborhood, they hold an MFA from the University of Cincinnati and a BA from San Diego State University, alongside experience in event production, film, and theater.
