Alley Sessions

Introducing BLINK Alley Sessions: BLINK Invites the Public to See Art in the Making at Two Live Painting Sessions

During BLINK 2026, the creative process becomes part of the experience. On Saturday, October 10, from 9 AM to 4 PM, BLINK Alley Sessions will transform Sellew Alley in Findlay Market and Tobacco Alley in Covington into open-air studios, where more than a dozen local, national, and international artists will create permanent murals in real time. Both sessions are free and open to all ages.

Public art is often encountered as a finished work. Alley Sessions invites residents, visitors, and media to witness what comes before: the ideas, techniques and individual approaches that bring a mural to life. Guests can watch a piece take shape, explore the surrounding neighborhood, and return throughout the day to see its progress, adding a daytime experience to BLINK’s celebration of art, light, and community.

Sellew Alley in Findlay Market

Tobacco Alley in Covington

In Tobacco Alley in Covington, running from Electric Alley to Madison Avenue, the confirmed lineup includes Hoxxoh, Birdseed Anthony, Sofles, Atomik, and more. The alley will be closed to vehicles for the day, creating a pedestrian-friendly gathering space with DJs beginning at 10 AM and Wenzel Whiskey open along the route.

In Sellew Alley at Elm Street near Findlay Market, additional artists will paint alongside the activity of a Saturday at the market. Guests can make live art part of their visit, moving between the painting sessions and the neighborhood’s shops, food vendors, and gathering spaces.

Together, the two sessions extend the BLINK experience into the daylight, offering an up-close look at the artists and creative work shaping public spaces on both sides of the river. Most murals are expected to be complete by mid-afternoon and will remain on the buildings for the community to enjoy beyond the festival.

In the event of rain, both sessions will move to Sunday, October 11, during the same hours.
