Cincinnati Road Closures

The festivities begin on Thursday, October 13, 2022, with the Blink Parade. In order to accommodate this parade, the following streets will close at times listed below:

Semi-permanent Installations- these streets will close to all vehicular traffic on Tuesday, October 11 at 9AM and remain closed throughout the week, to be reopened by Tuesday, October 18 at 5AM:

• Court Street- closed between Race Street and Walnut Street
• Vine Street- closed between Ninth Street and Central Parkway
• Eighth Street- westbound closed between Vine Street and Elm Street
• Jackson Street- closed between Central Parkway and Twelfth Street
• Stark Street- closed between Branch Street and Dunlap Street
• Eton Alley- closed between Elm Street and Race Street
• Freedom Way- closed between Rosa Parks Street and Marian Spencer Way
• Marian Spencer Way- closed between Theodore M Berry Way and Second Street (Garage access maintained from Second Street)

Parade Stage Construction- street will close at 9AM on Wednesday, October 12:

• Elm Street- closed between Fifth Street and Sixth Street for stage construction

Parade Staging Area closes at 4PM on Wednesday, October 13:

• Sentinel Street- closed between Fifth Street and Eggleston Avenue
• New Street- closed between Broadway and Culvert Street
• Seventh Street- closed between Broadway and Culvert Street
• Reedy Street- closed between Broadway and Eggleston Avenue
• Culvert Street- closed between Fifth Street and Reedy Street

Parade Route closes at 630PM on Wednesday, October 13 until approximately 1100PM:

• Fifth Street- closed between Central Avenue and Pike Street
• Broadway- closed between Fourth Street and Sixth Street
• Sycamore Street- closed between Sixth Street and Fourth Street (Garage access maintained from Sixth Street)
• Main Street- closed between Fourth Street and Sixth Street
• Walnut Street- closed between Sixth Street and Fourth Street (Garage access maintained from Sixth Street)
• Vine Street- closed between Fourth Street and Sixth Street (Hotel access maintained from Fourth Street)
• Race Street- closed between Sixth Street and Fourth Street (Garage access maintained from Fourth Street)
• Elm Street- closed between Fourth Street and Sixth Street

Streets will close nightly to private vehicular traffic from 630PM until approximately 1100PM on October 14, 15 and 16 as follows:

• Dunlap Street- closed between McMicken Street and Findlay Street
• Elm Street- closed between Twelfth Street and McMicken Street
• Race Street- closed between McMicken Street and Twelfth Street
• Findlay Street- closed between Central Parkway and Vine Street
• Elder Street- closed between Central Parkway and Vine Street
• Green Street- closed between Vine Street and Logan Street
• Pleasant Street- closed between Liberty Street and Fourteenth Street
• Wade Street- closed between Central Parkway and Elm Street
• Odeon Street- closed between Central Parkway and Elm Street
• Fifteenth Street- closed between Walnut Street and Central Parkway
• Magnolia Street- closed between Central Parkway and Elm Street
• Fourteenth Street- closed between Central Parkway and Sycamore Street
• Thirteenth Street- restricted between Race Street and Sycamore Street (access maintained to garage)
• Twelfth Street- closed between Vine Street and Main Street
• Jackson Street- closed between Central Parkway and Twelfth Street
• Main Street- closed between Second Street and Liberty Street
• Walnut Street- closed between Liberty Street and Second Street
• Vine Street- closed between Sixth Street and Central Parkway
• Eighth Street- closed between Elm Street and Sycamore Street
• Seventh Street- restricted between Race Street and Sycamore Street (may close depending on traffic volumes)
• Fourth Street- restricted between Sycamore Street and Vine Street (may close depending on traffic volume)

Additional reminders: Local residential access will be maintained with the assistance of Cincinnati Police Department officers on site. Additional streets may close as needed for traffic volumes. SORTA will be operating out of the Transit Center beginning on Thursday, October 13 at 6PM.

Northern Kentucky Road Closures

9 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 11) to 5 p.m. Monday (Oct. 17) 

• Court Street between 3rd and 4th streets.
• Park Place between Scott and Greenup streets. 

7 p.m. to 11 p.m. (i.e. “nightly”) Thursday (Oct. 13) through Sunday (Oct.) 16.

• Roebling Suspension Bridge (and no pedestrians on the roadway).
• West Pike Street between Madison and Washington.
• Washington Street between West Pike and 6th.
• 6th Street between Madison and Main. 

5:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. (“nightly”) Thursday (Oct. 13) to Sunday (Oct. 16)

• 7th Street “Alcove” (the parking area on the south side of the street stretching from Madison to Washington).
