Linger

Details

Linger is an interactive sculpture inspired by the random thoughts that pop into our heads. Using lamps as symbols for the chorus of voices of our internal thoughts, this work draws on familiar objects to create a magical experience.

Activated by foot switches, guests illuminate the lamps to expose writings on the lampshades - some humorous, some inquisitive, some inspiring - which glow and then fade. This piece reveals that contemplating our everyday existence is a universal aspect of life.
