About

Jason Snell—SnellBeast—brings the creative thunder with his arsenal of design, illustration and motion. He has worked with major brands including Amazon, ESPN, Heineken, MTN Dew, Netflix, Taco Bell and Virgin America.

A champion of community, Jason’s work with local organizations increases awareness, inspires and excites. Partnerships include Florence Y’alls, Habitat Skateboards, Haile Foundation and many more.

Jason helped to create the Legend Mural Series with local nonprofit, Artworks. He designed, illustrated and produced murals including “The Cincinnati Strongman” and “The Cincinnati Cobra” in Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati. He also worked on the world’s first interactive bronze sculpture featuring Ezzard Charles at Laurel Park. Jason also serves as part of the King Studio Advisory Board, supporting the legacy of Cincinnati’s King Records.

A featured artist for all four years of Lumenocity with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Jason delivered a crowd-favorite installation with his piece on Charley Harper. After two previous appearances at BLINK, the Beast is back with, “I Am Ezz” — a multimedia homage to Ezzard Charles. To help bring the story to life, Jason enlisted fellow creatives, writer Jim Cunningham and emcee/voice actor Citoak.

Jim Cunningham is a storyteller and creative director. Motivated by the people and places that color the Queen City, Jim is passionate about projects that lift up his community and preserve its rich history. Most recently, Jim has teamed with Jason and Citoak on several other Ezzard Charles projects. During years of playing in a band and performing improv, Jim earned a degree in Literature from the University of Cincinnati. If not writing and getting lost in the process, you can find him hiking, fishing, or making weird noises.

Jarmell Carson, better known as Citoak, is an emcee/voice actor/producer. A professional recording artist since 1995, Citoak has toured or shared stages with artists such as The Roots, Jack Johnson, Goodie Mob, Arrested Development, KRS-ONE, The Pharcyde and many more.

His recording career started with Cincinnati’s award-winning, The Watusi Tribe. He does a majority of his music now with his friend and fellow Silverton native KyleDavid in their appropriately named group, Sons of Silverton. Known for his deep, booming voice and varied cadences, Citoak is a staple in the Cincinnati indie music scene.

His voice credits include commercial voice-over for MadTree Brewing, promotional work for Grow Home Realty, social events and album releases. He is also a military veteran who served during Desert Storm. A family man, Citoak has set roots in Cincinnati with his wife and two daughters.
